The objectives of the Substance Abuse Certification program is to:
- Educate competent and compassionate individuals who are desirous of providing
comprehensive and quality services in substance abuse treatment.
- Impart a knowledge that promotes a greater understanding of the impact and
influence of substance abuse/dependency on the individual, family and society as a
whole.
- Provide individuals with an understanding of psychological, social, physiological
and behavioral skills needed in the effective intervention of substance abuse
disorders.
